Balancing personal relationships, our values and health concerns, financial responsibilities, and work can be challenging! I particularly enjoy working with clients who seek support in maintaining this balance and understand the need for self-care amid life’s transitions. I would like to collaborate with you to identify and use your strengths to find new thoughts and behavioral solutions that empower you. We will use insight-oriented and accountability practices to help you remain productive and to challenge hot thoughts, coping patterns, or unconscious beliefs that may be keeping you stuck or in limbo.

I ask couples and family counseling clients to come to therapy with the intent of focusing on the changes you can make yourself and your life dreams, not with the goal of blaming or trying to change your partner or family member.

Areas of Special Interest Include:

  • Recovering from depression by changing thought patterns, developing new ways to attend to physical stress and trauma, and regaining positive self-esteem.

  • Managing and recovering from anxiety.

  • Life transition issues, including career and health changes, and coping with grief and losses.

  • Relationship counseling, including topics such as reducing reactivity, learning new communication skills, and understanding relationship attachment injuries.

  • Couple’s Counseling, including pre-marital counseling, learning more effective communication strategies, and regaining intimacy and shared meaning.
